Lift up your heart
A mighty prayer, God wants to hear it.
Labor in your heart and spirit.
The Lord will see how serious,
Your fasting is not delirious.
Harden your heart against God's word.
Atone your sins by self, absurd.
Our mortal time here is on trial.
Watch words, works and thoughts not vile.
Why shall I follow this command,
The plan of redemption gives stand.
Choosing right wins the second death,
Evil don't stand another breath.
