To choose the good, discern from dark and light,
For all that’s pure and bright comes from the Lord.
Through faith in Christ, the soul is thus restored,
And hope’s sweet glow will guide us through the night.
Yet charity must reign, a flame so bright,
The purest gift, in heaven’s love outpoured.
Without its bond, our hearts are bare, ignored,
But with its strength, we rise in holy might.
The Lord redeems the pure; no child must weep,
For Christ’s embrace defends them from the grave.
And faith in Him has power strong to save.
No law can bind where mercy’s roots run deep.
Though sin may rage, let faith and love remain,
For Christ shall heal and cleanse the world’s great pain.
