A Fate Witnessed

 "A Fate Witnessed"

Amidst the clash of swords and blood-stained ground,
The Nephite host in hopeless battle stood,
Their cries unanswered in the fields of blood,
As darkness seemed to press the light around.

Mormon, with faith unshaken, yet unbound,
Beheld his people's path to death's own flood,
A prophet's heart in sorrow understood
That sin's own chains their destiny had crowned.

He called for peace, yet war could not delay,
Drawn near, and ruin's shadow took its place.
In fields once bright, now lost to dark's embrace.
The light of hope seemed ever far away.

Yet still, his soul in Christ did firmly rest,
And mourned the fallen with a prayer-blessed.

Last of the testament
The wait for one is finally here.
Name means more good to those who hear.
Saw our day and wrote what he could.
To our time his words are for good.
He saw and we do in our day.
Happiness in sin is no way.
Your broken heart will inherit
with a truly contrite spirit.
Press forward with pure love of Christ.
Spread good news of that was sacrificed.
Evil influence of satan will destroy
But you can change and find real joy.

Gospel's Gentle Guide and Harmony's Embrace

 "The Gospel's Gentle Guide"

Behold, this is the gospel given to us,
Christ sacrificed all, was lifted on the cross.
Faith, repentance, baptism—count no loss,
Endure to the end, with hearts strong and just.

Is it as simple as bowing the head,
Or reading scriptures before we sleep?
Yes, but more; His call runs deep—
He bids us follow where He has led.

He asks, "What manner of person should you be?"
Lift one another’s burdens with care,
So all may rest, their lives made fair.
Follow Him and you will agree.

A society where contentions cease,
And all find solace in lasting peace.

"Harmony's Embrace"

Hairsplitting confrontations must be drowned,
Deal justly with all whom we meet each day.
Our differences need not lead us astray,
But in unity, let joy be found.

What should stop you in your tracks?
When you commit, do as you should,
Let righteousness guide where it would.
Avoid pride’s lure, evade the sin tax.

Come live with me in harmony sweet,
No matter the color of your skin,
I'll accept you, where we all begin.
Where hearts as one in peace can beat.

To love one another and let grace win,
Embracing all, despite where we’ve been.

Behold this is the gospel given to us.
Christ sacrificed all and was lifted on the cross.
Faith, repentance, baptism and the Holy Ghost.
Endure to the end and never boast.

Is it simple as bowing my head.
Or reading the scriptures before going to bed.
Yes but more, cause he did say to follow him.
I will put my hat on for every whim.

He asks what manner of person I should be,
Follow him and you will agree.
Help one another's burdens he said.
So they can go to bed well fed.

A society where contentions are not found.
Hairsplitting confrontations are all but drowned.
We should deal justly with all person we encounter.
Don't let our differences be a downer.

So what should stop you in your tracks.
Evil prideful works and avoid that sin tax.
So when you say do it then you should.
Make a commitment and you would.

Come with me to live together.
Peaceful living with one another.
Don't care what color of your skin.
Accept you for you, even if you sin.

Refined in His Hands

"Refined in His Hands"

Awake, and search the holy scriptures' light,

Let sacred words paint pictures in your mind,

And pray with earnest hearts, in Him you'll find

The strength to cleanse your vessel pure and bright.

Have you not heard the whispers from before,

Of Israel's gathering, by His command?

A sign shall come when heaven's work is planned,

To call the faithful to their sacred door.

The covenant with Abraham still stands,

Renewed with us, the Lamb walks by our side,

We tread the narrow path, in Him we guide,

Our souls refined by fire and His hands.

Through trials He will shape His precious gold,

The Lord’s own jewels, His children to behold.

The Lord's Jewels

Awake and search the scriptures.

In your mind you can paint pictures.

Say Amen keep praying in your hearts.

Cleans your vessel as Spirit starts.

Have you heard the words before you.

Of the promised gathering He'll do.

A sign will show when the work starts.

The gathering of Israel's heart.

Covenant made with Abraham,

Same is done with you and the lamb.

We can walk along the tight rope.

Cleaning done with fire and some soap.

In Sacred Steps

"In Sacred Steps"

You heard the Word, now go and ponder well,
Let thoughts ascend with prayers from heart sincere.
For He is near, your ally ever dear,
And reads your soul where deepest feelings dwell.

When supplications humbly you impart,
Simple and true, they honor Him on high.
With gratitude, your thanks will reach the sky,
And shield your soul from any hardened heart.

Then take the bread and water in His name,
Remembering His birth and sacrifice,
From death to life, His teachings full of grace,
Descending low before His glorious claim.

Ascend with Him, your Savior, evermore,
To walk His path and love the light He bore.

SIMPLE SUPPLICATION

You heard the Word now go ponder.
Reading might just make you wander.
Allow prayers to ascend on high
He knows all and he's your ally.

When you pray to God our Father.
Simple prayers to him will honor.
Convey your appreciation,
to avoid any damnation.

A SACRED ORDINANCE

I take the water and the bread.
Think on Him, nothing more to dread.
From birth, death and resurrection
All he's done and taught perfection.
Descend below all things before
He could ascend to do much more.

Find Yourself in Heaven's Light"

 "Find yourself in Heaven's Light"

Blessed are the ones who seek with hearts so pure,
The humble souls, to whom the heavens call.
They mourn and grieve, yet find their peace in all,
For mercy flows to those who will endure.

The meek shall rise, inherit all the earth,
While those who thirst for truth are fully filled.
The merciful, with tender hearts instilled,
Find mercy blooming from their humble worth.

The peacemakers, as children of the Lord,
Shall walk with grace and see His holy face.
Though persecution comes, they find His grace,
Their hearts with joy and heaven's great reward.

For in each trial, blessings still increase,
And faith turns suffering into perfect peace.

Signs of His Light

"Signs of His Light"

Prophets foretold as signs would yet unfold,
Destruction never seen before the day,
When earth was lost, its form and mold gave way,
As darkness spread, all hearts grew faint and cold.

A voice was heard among us, strong and clear,
Christ, the Lord, His words began to fall,
From great to small, He rules and governs all,
He lights our way, our path made bright and near.

The law remains, but sacrifice has changed,
No longer blood, but hearts are what He seeks,
Now hear His call, for strength is found in meek,
And by His will, the soul is rearranged.

So follow Him, and never turn away,
For He will lead you through the darkest day.

Where you there? Did you see it?

Prophets foretold as signs unfold.
At His death the earth lost its mold.
Destruction never seen before.
Days of darkness scared to the core.

From a voice we heard among all.
Christ the Lord spoke and it wasn't small.
From big things to all that is small.
He is the light and life of all.

Law of sacrifice still is core.
But nothing like it was before.
Hear His voice and follow its mold.
You're gathered so you don't unfold.

Struggle of Christ's Disciple

"Struggle of Christ’s Disciple"

I’ve heard the lies and words that flatter deep,
God’s work beheld, while Satan sought to shatter.
Some fell, their hearts grew hard, their minds did scatter,
Distracted souls, in blindness lulled to sleep.

Yet face your foe, with courage you must keep,
And pray for strength; the Lord’s power won’t matter.
With faith in God, rise up, avoid the chatter,
Through trials, His commands, you must now steep.

The enemy’s designs, you must defy,
For in this struggle, Christ stands by your side.
Though shadows fall, His light will guide you by,
With grace to carry you through every tide.

Endure with faith, for victory will come,
In time, His glory will not be outdone.

Struggle of Christ's Disciple

Have heard lies and words that flatter,
God's work seen, Satan tried splatter.
Some fell, with hearts hard and minds blind.
Actions distract by evil design.

Meet your enemy forward faced.
Pray for the Lord's strength, won't waste.
With faith in God overcome fear.
Learn like him by time to appear.

Path of Obedience and Light with Reason's Rebellion and Faith's Return

"The Path of Obedience and Light"

Those once taught now rise as teacher bright,
The prophet speaks from heart, pure wisdom's start,
In homes and hearts, his words do play their part,
Uniting souls in love's eternal light.

For Satan seeks to trap with shallow sight,
Through flashy songs and senses’ hollow art,
Yet moral choice defines the truest chart,
Where actions yield results, both dark and bright.

Obedience leads to joy, its path we know,
While breaking law does only bring us pain,
To know repentance, hear God's voice again,
And find the truth in Christ's eternal glow.

So prophets teach, their message we receive,
And in that faith, our hearts begin to cleave.

"Reason's Rebellion and Faith's Return"

The truth brings power, knowledge lights the way,
Through scripture's voice, our hearts to faith incline,
Repentance follows, leading to divine,
A change of heart where freedom holds full sway.

Yet reason claims the prophet's words decay,
For we reject what seems beyond our line,
Of understanding, so we quick resign,
To cast aside the truth and fall astray.

In foolish pride, we stir with thoughts unclear,
Vain rumors grow, contention taints the land,
The evil one ensnares with tempting hand,
Disturbing hearts with doubts and rising fear.

But through the chaos, faith will still endure,
For in the truth, we find a hope most pure.

Role Reversal

Lamanites were always evil.
But Nephites did an upheaval.
Became prideful, ignored prophets.
Warning ignored in their back pockets.
"This is the way" but realize
There's bound to be tempting lies.
That even though they're seductive,
Consequences are a must've.

Notes taken from scripture reading
Those who had once been taught now became the teacher.
For the prophet taught straight from his heart.

Bring into your homes and hearts
The teachings of the prophets and apostles
This strengthens our relationship with each other.

Satan will capture your heart, mind and emotions
With flashy images, blaring music and stimulation of every physical sense we have.
Our moral agency is what do we do with that.
You might choose and act a certain way but you don't choose the outcome of your actions.
Obedience will yield happiness, while violation will not.

We hear the words of the prophet to know of the judgements of God
And to know of the conditions of our repentance.
That we might know of Jesus Christ and his coming.

For there is power in the knowledge of the truth.
We are led to believe by the holy scripture
From there it leads to faith and repentance.
With a destination that we have a change of heart that makes us free.

Based upon the basis of reason. We hear it so it must be so.
We reject the words of the prophets.
Saying that it is beyond reason that this should be.
So we say it is not so.

Disturbed we do become because we hear rumors
And contentious upon this land.
When we imagine things that are foolish and vain
And follow the stirrings of the evil one.

It's Your Choice

"It's Your Choice"

Did you forget, or did you just resist,
To follow truth and let your soul be led?
Was it a lack of faith or devil's dread
That made you falter, fall into the mist?

The needs of flesh can lead the heart amiss,
To harden souls and leave them cold and dead.
Obeying Him, except the heart of men instead.
Yet God commands, and all things do persist.

But still, His voice calls out; we have the choice,
To turn from sin, to rise, and be restored.
Repentance sings; the humble hear its chord,
And grace can heal with just a whispered voice.

Oh, choose His light and let your spirit soar,
To dwell with Him in peace forevermore.

Spiritual Unsteadiness

Previous Poem written on 2020-08-30

Did you just forget or refuse to commit?

Was it a lack of knowledge or the Devil made you do it.

The needs of the flesh cause an unsteadiness.

You harden your heart which is a form of deadliness.

All God's creations do obey his command,

But the children of men tend to withstand.

They can repent and hearken to his voice

Restored by grace just by a simple choice.

The Paths We Choose

 The Paths We Choose

Beware the circle that will bring affliction,
If hearts unyielding choose not to repent,
In wickedness, one's days are poorly spent,
And evil's snares will lead to deep restriction.

The author of all sin will teach deceit,
He seeks to drag you down into the mire,
But hold to God, let righteousness inspire,
For saints who stand in faith make life complete.

See how the wicked spread their seeds of strife,
Their discord shadows every step they take,
While those who choose the light, true peace partake,
In righteous ways, they find the joy of life.

So choose your course on principles that last,
Avoid the misery of the wicked's past.

Cycle of the Circle

Watch out this circle will afflict.
If no repent it will restrict.
Groups of evil tend to distract.
Contention can't always be tracked.

Author of all sin instructs some.
Don't let him drag you through the scum.
Diligent in the sight of God.
Brings us around from being flawed.

Young Guardians of Faith

Young Guardians of Faith

Young ones of righteousness, your courage see,
With steadfast hearts, defend your native land,
Grateful for God's protecting, guiding hand,
As you confront the face of death with glee.

True to your faith, let all your actions be,
In trials fierce, with courage make your stand,
Stay constant, firm—by these, be rightly planned—
A better world through steadfast loyalty.

Some hardships on your path you can't avoid,
Your choices shape the voids that lie within,
Cleanse your inner vessel, pure and bright,
Avoid offence, lest peace be thus destroyed.

So rise, young ones, and let your spirits gleam,
In righteousness, fulfill the noblest dream.

Moral Agents

Young men of righteousness see,
commitment to defend your country.
Grateful for divine protection.
Fearless facing death's reflection.

True to your faith, can it be you?
Courage and constant, always true.
How better we would be to know,
Cause my mother taught me to go.

Some hardships you will not avoid,
Your reaction could create a void.
Your inner vessel should be cleaned.
Avoid offence or be quarantined.

Banner of the Just, The Freedom Covenant and A Father's Strength

 "Banner of the Just"

Moroni, clad in virtue's armor bright,
With God’s own wisdom guiding every hand,
To shield his kin and consecrate the land.
Stood firm in war, defending truth and right.

In liberty, our peace and freedom stand,
Yet chains await where righteousness is weak.
Need to fight for all blessings that we seek.
Guard our homes with courage it does demand.

For life is sacred, even those who stray.
In darkness deep, will always tend to rise.
But raise the banner, pierce the dark with cries.
Let not our silence pave a darker way.

With hearts resolved, we'll rally to the fight,
For truth and justice, in God's holy light.

"The Freedom Covenant"

For this ensign, Moroni's bold decree,
A banner raised to rally every heart.
To stand as one, refusing to depart.
Inscribe these words of sacred liberty.

For God, for freedom, for wives and our young,
He wrote, and every warrior took a stand.
No tyrant's yoke, nor an enemy at hand,
Could break this spiritual bond with your tongue.

In unity, our strength and purpose blend,
Each heart resolved, no more to kneel in fear.
Stand firm as mountains, hold what we hold dear.
With heaven’s cause, we shall not break or bend.

So let the flag of liberty unfurl,
Defending truth in an uncertain world.

"A Father's Strength"

If all were like Moroni, just and true,
The powers of darkness would forever cease.
The cause of God, his legacy of peace.
In strength and faith, his every act renew.

So too, my father stands with steadfast heart,
A pillar firm against the trials of life.
A guiding light through moments filled with strife.
In every storm, he’s played a noble part.

With wisdom deep and courage in his soul,
He’s led with love, defending all he holds.
A man of honor, strong and true as gold.
In him, I see Moroni’s righteous goal.

As Moroni’s deeds were blessed from above,
So is my father’s life, a gift of love.

"Rally the call to righteousness"

Moroni relied on his strengths,
and the Lord's guidance to great lengths.
Seek God's counsel in times of war.
Defend your family and more.

Peace and freedom make liberty,
Don't fall into captivity.
Defend your country, take up arms.
Protect your families and farms.

All life is precious, protect it.
Even those in the devil's pit.
Don't be the one to do nothing.
Hoist that title and do something.

Simple Means Greater the Outcome

 Simple Means Greater the Outcome

By small and simple means your dreams take flight,
With faith alone, your progress will ascend.
Could find yourself adrift, dreams at an end.
Without this trust, you’ll falter in the night.

Have you retained the memories of grace.
His mercy gained through trials you have faced?
To work His wonders, hands and hearts now laced.
Let youth be guided by His warm embrace.

Be bold, but let not vanity intrude,
With love, not madness, let your heart be filled.
Your passions bridled, thus your dreams are willed.
In idleness, let wisdom be your food.

So harness faith, let dreams and actions blend,
With love and grace, you'll reach the destined end.

Great Things

By small and simple brings the means
to accomplish your great dreams.
With no faith your progress will stop,
and you will end up in a flop.

Have ye sufficiently retained?
Memories of his mercy gained.
Youth should follow god's commands.
Perform miracles with their hands.

Be bold but not with vanity.
Filled with love not insanity.
Idleness should be a ration.
So let's bridle all your passion.
